The New Apollo Plan, the Economic Stimulus & New York City
Labor, green, environmental justice and business advocates came together in a public forum hosted by the NYC District Council of Carpenters, convened by Urban Agenda and moderated by Nancy Anderson of the Sallan Foundation. The Federal Economic Stimulus Package was examined from five different perspectives to show how stimulus funds can move the country towards energy independence, create good jobs and green New York City.
"We have an opportunity now in this community in this room to change America like it has never been changed since the Civil Rights Movement," said Jerome Ringo, President of the National Apollo Alliance.
